Silk:  Example D

Sample #16, fine silk singles have so many uses.  I hope to crochet my daughter's wedding gown out of a thread like this someday.  This small doily exhibits the qualities of the thread superbly.  It displays the definition of the pattern and is lustrous.  It feels wonderful in the hand and will wear well because of its tight twist and smooth surface.  Garments from lace shawls to dresses would be spectacular in this thread.  Household laces would be very elegant.|
The doily was crocheted with a size 12 steel crochet hook.   The flower leaf and diamond pattern are of my own design.  It was washed in Ivory liquid, rinsed in herbal vinegar, blocked dry and steamed.  Follow the same procedure for future washings.

Note that the description is simple.   It includes the sample used and why that sample was chosen, method, finishing, and care instructions.
