Triple Connection Knot

This simple knot looks very much like a bead on a string.   It is easily incorporated into many project where one strand of cord is being tied.

A. Twist:  Even an unbalanced single can be used to tie this knot.  Be sure that multi-plies do not split apart during tying.

B. Density:  This know needs to be tied with a dense cord.   The cord may be fine or bulky but if it is soft the knot will disappear.

C. Fibers:  Smooth shiny fibers show off this knot best and make it look like a bead.  Silk, linen, ramie look best.  Angora and other fuzzy fibers are not suitable.  cotton is acceptable if spun very dense.

D. Textures:  A textured cord is not desirable or this knot.  The exception would be if you desired to accent a very thick and thin yarn and placed the knot at the thickest portion of the cord.

E. Wheel Requirements: Use any wheel that you can spin a dense cord on.
