Here's a few knots you need to know. When you have time it is always a good idea to practice these. Nothing is worse than losing the big fish because your knot fails at the worst moment possible. Another good ihint is to spit on the knot to help tighten it up. If spit is unavailable line lube works well.

As always practice makes perfect. Knowing these few knots will put you in contention for the jackpot fish at the end of the day. A good knot will even improve your chances of keeping the big fish on the hook. Being able to try a good fishing knot is basic to learning how to set up your tackle. You can buy al the fancy lures, jigs, rigs and bling to attract the fish, but if it does not stay tied on to your line it won't do you any good when it comes to landing that whopper. So practice, practice, practice and be ready for the next great day on the water.
