Cotton:  Example B

This simple crocheted medallion illustrates how lovely sample #7, the fine cotton, will feel for light garments and household lace.  This fine cotton is fine, yet strong enough for delicate wearables.  Because the yarn was not boiled and the wax removed, garments made from this yarn will be more supple and have a nicer hand.  they will also wear a little longer and be less likely to stain.   the tight twist on the fiber helps make it durable and gives distinctness to the chosen (crochet) pattern.  Very intricate patterns for household lace will stand apart made from this sample.
The medallion was crocheted in double crocheted clusters much like a granny square.  I used a size 12 steel crochet hook.  the sample was blocked and steamed.
To wash and care for an item made from this cotton, wash in warm water with mild detergent. Block the item dry and steam press.  If the finished piece is washed in very hot water or in strong detergent, the handle will be greatly affected.   It will begin to feel like "other" cottons.

Note that the description is simple.   It includes the sample used and why that sample was chosen, method, finishing, and care instructions.
